Villa Rose
Blushing softly beneath the Aleppine sun, Villa Rose stands as a rare jewel of early 20th century grandeur. Built in 1928 by the distinguished Subhi Kabbabé, it was the first residence in the city to embrace pure European Baroque architecture, its pink hued stone and ornate balconies a bold statement in the heart of Al Aziziyah. Within its graceful symmetry and sculpted façades, Aleppo’s cosmopolitan spirit of the French Mandate era found a perfect home — a place where imported elegance met local craftsmanship. Over the decades, it has been a family residence, a maternity hospital, and, after a narrow escape from demolition, a protected architectural monument. Today, though privately owned, Villa Rose remains a timeless testament to Aleppo’s spirit of openness, and its cultivated elegance. its façade still whispering the stories of a city that once danced between East and West.
